FLASH preset

Our Flash Preset is designed to enhance your images without making them look too harsh or grim. It keeps whites fresh and crisp while slightly tempering the highlights for a balanced look. Shadows are lifted just enough to avoid a dull or muddy feel, ensuring the image remains clean and commercially appealing.

To add a subtle nostalgic touch, this preset includes a fine grain for an analog feel, while blacks are slightly raised to maintain depth without losing contrast. Reducing clarity creates a more flattering effect, softening the overall look.

FOOD & DRINKS PRESET

Make your food photography truly mouthwatering with our Food & Drinks Preset. Designed for vibrant yet natural colors, this effect adds just the right amount of punch without looking artificial. Every texture stands out, from the crispy crust of a loaf of bread to the creamy sheen of a dessert. The background stays subtle, ensuring all focus is on the food. INTERIOR preset

Color accuracy is essential in interior photography. Our Interior Preset is designed to keep hues realistic and natural, preserving the original atmosphere of the space. Please note that we like our interior shots a little warmer, but you do you of course!

In terms of exposure adjustments, this preset lifts the shadows while pulling down the whites and highlights. This helps retain detail in bright areas, such as windows, while keeping darker parts of the image well-exposed. We also turned up contrast, brightness, and texture, which enhances the depth and clarity of the scene.

PORTRAIT PRESET

Our Portrait Preset is designed to bring out the best in every subject: authentic, flattering, and naturally beautiful. Skin tones stay soft and balanced, with a subtle glow that enhances a fresh, healthy look. Contrast and brightness are carefully adjusted to add depth while keeping shadows soft. The colors are warm and timeless, perfect for a subtle, cinematic feel that never looks overly edited.

Eyes get a gentle boost, making them sparkle without looking overdone. The skin becomes less textured, and teeth a little whiter. All of this while still being natural.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY preset

Our Soft & Grainy Preset brings a sense of warmth, nostalgia, and cinematic beauty to your images. As if your images are somewhat ‘faded from the sun’. It creates a delicate balance between softness and texture. With subtle contrast and mellow tones, this preset gently lifts shadows and tames highlights, avoiding deep blacks for a dreamy effect. The fine grain adds depth and character for a timeless look.

TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY preset

Bring the magic of analog photography to your travel shots with our Travel Preset. Inspired by the warm, timeless look of Portra 400, this preset adds a nostalgic feel with soft, faded tones and rich, deep colors. A subtle grain enhances the film-like character. The colors stay warm and vibrant without feeling overly saturated. Perfect for capturing sunlit coastlines and atmospheric cityscapes — just like shooting on film.

HARD BLACK & WHITE PRESET

Meet our Hard Black & White Preset — the bold monochrome version of our Flash Preset. With deep shadows and high contrast, this is Laurence’s go-to black & white edit. This preset adds extra edginess to portraits. It works beautifully on images shot in either very bright or very dark environments, bringing out striking depth and mood.

SOFT B&W preset

Our Soft Black & White Preset is the monochrome alternative of our Soft & Grainy Preset. Laura loves using it for portraits and travel photography, giving images a dreamy, authentic and timeless feel. With a cinematic touch, this preset enhances emotional depth, bringing focus to expression, texture and light.

ABOUT us

Buro Bonito is a creative collective founded by two photographers who bonded over a love for beautiful imagery and the good things in life. Different in character, complementary in skills.

With Bonito Academy, we’re pulling back the curtain on ten years of experience in the lifestyle industry — so you can edit like a pro and bring your own vision to life.

  • Absolutely! Our presets help you maintain a consistent, high-end look across all your visuals—perfect for social media, websites and marketing materials.

  • Our installation guide walks you through installation, and it includes a break down of each individual preset +  how to begin using them. We cover common tips and tricks for each preset that we use ourselves when editing, but a basic knowledge of Lightroom is useful for further preset development.

  • They’ll give you the same polished, professional feel, but the final look depends on your lighting, colours and of course settings. The presets aren’t a time machine! Great edits begin with the correct camera settings. After using our presets, your images will probably still need some minor tweaking (as we explain and show in our installation guide).

  • Our presets are designed to get you 90% of the way there with just one click! Because every photo is different, some small tweaks (like adjusting exposure or white balance) may be needed to match your lighting and colors perfectly.
